    Lower commission rates for do-it-yourself

Standard stock agencies take 40 to 60 percent of the proceeds of sales. They i do this in part because of the higher costs associated with editing, digitizing, uploading and the archival storage of original images. Photomatica does not have these costs and can pass on the savings to the photographer. Suggested commission rates are 30 percent for sales from the Photomatica website.
