WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Doug Ellington built his first photo booth in 2010 when he couldn’t find a vintage booth to rent for his own wedding. However, he quickly realized he needed someone with a business degree and a winning smile to help take Photomatica to the next level. He reached out to his college track teammate, Matt Dewalt.
A PHOTO BOOTH DREAM TEAM WAS BORN
Together Matt and Doug have successfully built and restored more than 250 custom photo booths, and produced thousands of events over the years. What these two started has now grown into a team of 30 people (builders, managers, technicians, event attendants, etc.) working behind the scenes to capture over a million photos for happy clients.
AND THERE’S NO STOPPING US!
Photomatica now operates globally. We have permanent photo booth placements across six major US markets (placed all around California, Texas, New York, Boston, Tennessee, and more), Canada, Austria, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. Our goal is to spread as much photo booth love as possible.
OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED PHOTO BOOTHS AND TO HAVE FUN!
We value the original aesthetic of the old school photo booths, and our image quality leads the industry. We build our machines to last 100 years, with marine grade lumber and stainless steel frames, welded right in our shop. We use hand-sign painters, artists and designers to make each booth built in our workshop as unique as you.
