SF Analog Booth Tech / Customer Service Associate

$25/hour

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to help keep our analog photo booths running smoothly and provide an awesome experience for our customers.

  • Are you passionate about analog photography and love working with your hands? Do you have great customer service skills and enjoy helping people? If so, we want you to join our team at Photomatica!

    We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to help keep our analog photo booths running smoothly and provide an awesome experience for our customers.

    Our ideal candidate is someone with a background in photography that enjoys and/or has experience working on repairing basic camera mechanics. This job will require you to get your hands dirty working with the chemicals used in the photographic process so darkroom experience is required!

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Maintaining and troubleshooting our vintage analog photo booths—changing chemicals, loading paper cartridges, fixing jams, and handling other hands-on tasks.

    • Help customers make keychains, scan photos, and other point-of-sale operations.

    • Working primarily at our Market St. Museum location, with potential for help changing chemicals at Club Photomatica on Haight Street & Kilowatt Bar.

    • Work 8-24 hours (between 1-3 shifts) per week—weekend availability is required!

    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

SF Junior Builder

$25-$30/hour

We’re looking for an entry level builder to join us in our workshop. You will be working in close contact with a small team of other builders, so we also need someone that keeps their space organized and is already familiar with power tools (although no experience is required).

  • An entry level builder to join us in our workshop. Experience not required, but we want to find someone that is already familiar with how to build something using a saw and some power tools. You will be working in close contact with a small team of other builders, so we also need someone that keeps their space organized.

    Job Responsibilities:
    Your primary responsibilities will revolve around building cabinets, cutting metal trim, and installing technological components into booths. Our primary clientele are bars, restaurants, and music venues, so there will be a small amount of travel around the area to service booths on-site. In addition, you will also occasionally be tasked with picking up and dropping off building materials.

    Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with tools is a must. A background in carpentry and/or woodworking is also preferred.

    • Clean driving record & the ability to reliably transport yourself to and from Treasure Island.

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is a big plus (we all have liberal arts degrees so it's okay if its not directly related to building and construction).

    Compensation:
    Pay range varies between $25-30 per hour depending on experience.
